Organizational Mission

Tender Touch Inc. is committed to helping women, young girls, and individuals who have experienced trauma, addiction, incarceration, and life challenges find healing and restoration through storytelling, theater, and faith-centered community engagement. Our organization uses the arts as a tool for transformation. Through stage productions, storytelling, and community dialogue, Tender Touch creates spaces where people can see their lived experiences reflected on stage and begin conversations about healing, redemption, and second chances.

Tender Touch believes that the arts are not only entertainment but also a powerful vehicle for social change, community healing, and personal growth. Tender Touch is especially committed to bringing high-quality arts programming into communities that have historically had limited access to theater and cultural resources, ensuring that the voices and experiences of those communities are seen, heard, and valued.

Organizational Background

Tender Touch Inc. was founded by Denise Jones, whose personal journey of recovery and faith has guided the mission of the organization. After overcoming addiction and life challenges, Denise committed her life to helping others who face similar struggles. Tender Touch combines storytelling, theater, and mentorship programs to serve individuals and communities that are often overlooked in traditional arts programming.

A central artistic work produced by Tender Touch is the stage play Beyond The Door (BTD). The play is based on real-life stories of trauma, addiction, redemption, and faith. It reflects the lived experiences of individuals seeking healing and transformation. Through its productions and outreach, Tender Touch creates a platform where community members can engage with the arts while addressing real social issues affecting their lives.
